An Indictment is merely an accusation and no evidence of guilt.  The United States must prove and establish by credible admissible evidence that the acts charged by the grand jury in the indictment are true beyond a reasonable doubt.  The grand jury, a secret deliberative body under the control of the prosecutor, is not required and does not make such a finding -- it only brings charges based to large extent on summary hearsay evidence presented by the prosecutor.

Possible related indictment in US v. Everson, et al -  There is some indication based on press reports and rumor that the Hankins et al case and the Everson, et al and a third case involving two individuals are related in some manner.  You may view the Everson indictment by clicking on this hyperlink.  The Kansas City Star press release is at:  KC Star Report  UPDATE:  On 12/1/2009 six of the defendants charged in this related indictment pled guilty to being involved in the theft of the 55 gallon drum of commercial ephedrine from a local chemical company.

The plea agreement on file with PACER viewable here usually does not indicate one way or the other whether such an agreement is in place and may not therefore represent the full scope of the agreement between the government and the defendant in any particular case.
